New Years Resolutions

New Years Resolutions are a pain. This year I told myself that I wasn’t going to make any resolutions because I thought I would break all of them January 2nd. Then my roommate, friends, and family started making them and I started hearing all these great ideas. So of course, I had to make my own list and so far I haven’t broken any!

  1. Save all 5 dollar bills in a jar.

This one has been pretty easy so far. I have a cute little jar on my desk that has exactly one five dollar bill in it so far. Since I am in college I use my meal plan and my debit card to pay for most things so when I use cash it is for special occasions. My plan is that I save 5 dollar bills every semester and when the semester is over and when finals are over I can treat myself to something nice. I’ll update y’all on what I spend my money on in a future post!

2. Drink more water.

I despise water and I have no idea why. However, water has many benefits and its a huge portion of the human body. So I thought I should drink more and get over the taste. I have been putting fresh fruit and berries in my water bottles and not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it actually tastes really good. I start my day out with 16 ounces of plain water than fill my bottle with fruit and water and have that for my classes. Then at the end of the day I refill my bottle and by the time I go to bed I have had a ton of water.

By drinking more water I have noticed clearer skin and I have more energy through out the day. I also have lost weight and I couldn’t be more happy about that!

3. Eat more whole foods.

I love food and who doesn’t?! Being in college and living in a dorm, it is hard to have whole foods only in my mini fridge that I share with my roommate. Although it is a big struggle I have been doing better with this. I can’t always have whole foods but I am having more than I did in 2015. I keep sweet potatoes on hand to microwave for breakfast, I have spinach and other salad toppings in my fridge for lunch, and squash and brussel sprouts for snacks!

4. Read more books.

I haven’t read a full book since 7th grade. It’s not that I don’t like to read, I just haven’t had the opportunity to read a book that I chose. I am really excited to tell you that I have found my new favorite book! It keeps me on the edge of my seat and I always find myself reading more than I have planned. I plan to keep at this resolution by finding fun girlie books about things I love.

5. Make time for Jesus everyday.

Jesus time is hard to find time for in college life, but it shouldn’t ever be! I have started having time with Jesus outside and just writing out my prayers so I don’t get distracted. I think going outside before going to bed gives me a better setting for a more intimate conversation with Jesus.

6. Meatless Mondays.

I chose to do meatless Mondays because I want to do my part to help the sustainability of the planet. I want to help the planet so it can have a low carbon count for the future generations. Also, I love veggies so I had no problem making this a part of my weekly schedule.

7. Go to gym 5 times a week.

I love the gym so this has been very easy for me. I think that going to the gym in the morning gives me energy for the rest of the day. I also love the feeling I get after I am done at the gym. I usually start with a little cardio and go into a hard concentrated muscle group exercise. If you would like to see a post about my fitness routine just leave me a comment below!

I hope you loved this post and please leave post recommendations down below!

Love you all so very much.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is beautiful. I haven’t traveled around the world much but out of the places I have been to, Costa Rica was definitely one of my favorites. A big reason it was a favorite of mine is because not only did I get to go with 25 of my best friends, I also go the opportunity to serve the Lord while I was there. It technically was a missions trip but to me it felt like a loving vacation with my best pals. I did go on this trip a little less than a year ago but I still think of it daily. So here are a few pictures that I captured for this amazing trip.

Saying Goodbye to 2015

2015 was full of amazing memories. I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family to have spent this past year with. I will always cherish these memories. I thought that you all may be interested in seeing what went on in my life this past year! So here goes nothing!

January 2015:

I went to Sedona with my amazing boyfriend.

I also hiked a ton this month.

February 2015:

My Pom team and I went to Nationals in Disney and were ranked 25th in the Nation in Small Division Pom. I know that doesn’t sound all that fabulous, but we are a tiny Christian school so being 25th in the nation out of hundreds of teams was amazing!

I went to Sadies and danced the night away with my best friends and my boy toy of course.

And of course Valentine’s day happened!

March 2015:

This month I was able to go to Costa Rica on a mission trip with almost my whole grade! It was an amazing experience and I wish I could go back and do it all again. (Costa post coming soon!)

I also went to Sedona with my boyfriend and his family.

April 2015:

This was an exciting month because I got to go to prom! The dress I wore was a Sherri Hill and it was gorgeous.

I also got to go to California with the rest of the Senior class. This is my best friend Jordan.

May 2015:

June 2015:

june2 June

I was blessed to be able to have gone to this camp for four years in a row. This was sadly my last year at Kivu but I will forever cherish the memories I made.

July 2015:

I visited the house that was in the intro to Full House in San Francisco!

I also was lucky enough to have gone to One by Cirque Du Soleil! This is my boyfriend (left) and his brother (right).

August 2015:

I went to Dallas, Texas with my parents and this was the view form our hotel!

I moved into my dorm at college! This was a big change for me but I have learned to love it.

September 2015:

I made the most amazing group of friends. I love all of them so much.

My roommate and I became the best of friends. I am so blessed to be living with her.

October 2015:

Zach and I celebrated our Two year anniversary! We went to a pumpkin patch and carved (or at least tried to) a pumpkin!oct2

I went to my first college party on Halloween. Gotta love new experiences haha!

November 2015:

Thanksgiving. Duh.

December 2015:

Had the best talk with my best friend just sitting in their car in a parking garage. They made me giggle the entire night.

My hometown friends and I stayed up almost all night and watched silly movies.

Heres to a FAB 2016. I hope you all have the best year ever and I would love to hear how your 2015 went! Where did you travel to? Celebrate any fun things? What are you looking forward to most for the next year?

love God. love others.

Inspiration Post: Demi Lovato

I hope there are some gals out there who agree with me that Demi Lovato is fierce. She is one of my favorite former Disney girls because she definitely knows who she is and shes confident in herself. Demi has been one of my biggest inspirations ever since she released her first album. I was so sad when Sonny with a Chance was cancelled because I loved Demi in that. I didn’t love the show, just Demi.

So since Demi has so many amazing looks I am going to make an outfit for you guys that I think well resembles Demi’s fashion. I hope you all love love love it!

So the look I will be working with for this inspired outfit will be Demi’s fierce side:

Starting off with a shirt.

I found two options!

My first finding is from NASTY GAL and I love the fact this crop top shows a little skin while also being appropriate. Since Demi’s amazing weight loss (congrats Demi!) she has loved showing her now bod off. Since her looks are a litle more risque then I would be comfortable wearing in public, I think this number is the perfect amount of skin and cover. I also love how this is velvet because it adds a whole other level of texture and I love that.

My second choice of top for a Demi look is this:

Now for the bottoms!

The first top is actually part of a two piece set and as hard as I tried, I couldn’t find a better bottom to pair it with so I decided to go with the paired skirt. I love this look so much I am very much considering buying it for myself!

For the second top I chose to pair a black mini skirt with it that has some detailing on the side which again, shows a little skin. I love the all black look because this is defintiely something Demi would love.

I love the idea of adding accent colors in the shoes for both of these outfits so here are my options!

Outfit 1:

Outfit 2:

Demi definitely loves open shoes. I think this pair really brings in the “geometricness” of the top and the skirt. I also love adding a tan because wearing tan helps make your legs look longer!

Catch ya later gals 🙂

Love Belle
